Wednesday

We went to the Science Museum called La Cite des Science today.

We played Health Games.  Here are some of the games I played: pumping blood, picture and word series to test my memory, tested my heart rate (it was 100 beats a minute), scanned groceries to test if you eat enough healthy food or too much junk food. In one game, you have to match up on a balance scale how much exercise you need to do to wear off the food (calories). Did you know that to burn off ice cream, you have to do judo for 30 minutes?

After we finished all the games we could do, we printed out our results.  I think I did a little better than Mama, because in one test it said she had too much fat in her favorite foods and maybe drank too much wine.

Then we saw an IMAX movie, which was in a big silver ball.  I learned about when the Hubble space telescope broke and astronauts had to fix it.  It was a pretty long movie and the language was in French, but the letters on the screen were in English.

I went to the gift shop and I bought a Star Wars X-Wing. (I really wanted a Millenium Falcon, but it was too many euros.  A euro is a type of money, like a dollar--like a few dollars!)

Fun Fact of the Day:

French Word of the Day
Au revoir: This word means bye or bye-bye.

Tonight, I've been watching Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes in French. They're funny videos, even in French.

See ya!

Tuesday

Today, it is now evening, and I just came back from Papa's friend's apartment.

This morning, we went to the menagerie, which is a zoo by a popular garden in Paris.

I'm at the Jardin des Plantes.  I spy a Stegasaurus.

This is a snow leopard. It was very close to us.

Isn't there so much beauty in this place?

Check it out.  It's a white peacock.

I hope you like this film.  I filmed it on my V-tech at Françoise’s apartment on her balcony.

Thank you very much for looking at this blog. Remember, this isn’t the end of my blog. I have four more days until I’m in the plane.

My French Word of the Day
Fraise: This word means strawberry

Fun Fact of the Day:
I learned that the Eiffel Tower twinkles with sparkly lights for one minute every hour.

See ya!

Monday

Today, I walked 1, 280 steps.  That's how much is in the Eiffel Tower, and that's how much we walked.  We've always taken the elevator before, but this time, we took the stairs.

Huff huff huff.  There are more steps to go!
There are 640 steps up and 640 steps down.

Afterward, we went to the park.
These are pictures from Sunday.

(This is a picture of me after climbing the Eiffel Tower.)

Ahhhhh! Ooh, that feels good.

(Can you believe I climbed that thing? One time I almost got my sneaker stuck in one of those holes.)
French Word of the Day:
Arrete: That means "Stop"

My Fun Fact for Today:
(Sorry it's sideways.)
The Eiffel Tower took two years, five months, and two days for the monument to be fully built.

Sunday

This morning, I had some time to play.  Then we had a long trip to the airport.

We went to the Dallas Fort Worth International airport.

I'm at the airport restaurant; I'm reading Star Wars

What is that thing behind me? It is a metal sculpture of city buildings, I think.
Unfortunately, the plane was one hour late.  When we got on the plane, we had to wait just a few more minutes.
Then when we started taking off, we were going really fast.  It was between 100 and 200 miles per hour!  I felt like I was being forced back by something.
For dinner, I had salad, a piece of bread, meat and potatoes, beans and vegetables.  Yummy!  I asked the drink lady, “Pepsi, s’il vous plait!” And when she gave me the drink, I said, “Merci.” S’il vous plait means “please,” and Merci means “thank you.”
My teddy bear, Violet (Vee-oh-lay), which means Purple in French, he was so smart. When the whole group in the plane heard a beep, Violet told me he thought it was the sign that it was time to take off in a few seconds.  It was his first time on a plane.
Unfortunately, the TV movies on the plane are broken.
Right now, it’s 8:32, and I’m a little sleepy.  I’m going to take a nap for the night.

We finally arrived at 10 AM on Sunday!

Ahh!  This is my apartment balcony in Paris.
It's a little cool out here.  I am out on the balcony.
This is my precious Maman and my handsome Papa.

Say cheese!

I'm out on the balcony taking lots of pictures.

French Word of the Day
Avion (ah vee on): airplane

Here’s a sentence:
Qu’est que tu voudrais?  (kesca too voo dray)
This sentence means “What would you like?”

We are going to go the park today.

See ya!

My Last Trip to Paris

The last time I went to Paris, it was winter.  It was freezing.  These are some of the things I saw.

This is the French Ferris wheel! I didn't ride on it because it was too cold. You would have froze to death when you got to the top:

This museum is HUGE! It would take 5 days to look at all the art in this place! It's called the Louvre.

Can you recognize where I am?  If you guessed inside the Eiffel Tower, you are right!

This is my favorite place.  I visit the Eiffel Tower every time I go to France.

Here's my French word of the day
L'anglais (long-lay): this word means English.

My Fun Fact for today
France is located in Europe, and the capital of France is Paris! I think it is because it has the Eiffel Tower, which is pretty special.  It's a landmark.

The next time I write a post, I'll be on the plane to France.
See ya!
